Speller Metcalfe is one of the UK’s leading regional contractors.

Our company is a family-owned business, established in 1995 by Steve Speller and Andy Metcalfe - both experienced surveyors who aspired to be at the cutting edge of construction. We predominantly work across the Midlands and South West regions, working on projects from £250,000 to £30m across both the public and private sectors.

One of the key values of the company is to support and train the next generation of construction professionals; both those who work on site and those who support the company from our regional offices - whether through graduate training programmes, apprenticeships, membership, qualifications or otherwise.

To help extend this to the wider industry, in 2014 Steve Speller set about how to address the problem that many employers and apprentices face in order to be successful in their training - financial support. As such, the Worcestershire Construction Apprentice Academy was founded to help bring together employers and apprentices in the county by offering financial grants and incentives to support their training.
